White silk and bfl mitts with pink perle cotton, mile a minute edging

An entirely hand made apron. The fabric is a vintage pillowcase that was too small for our pillows. So I hand sewed on the waist band which I made from calico, then seamed up the side. Using Victorian and Edwardian attachment methods, I sewed on the pieces of vintage lace and the border which I crocheted to fit the shape of the apron. The crocheted border was made with a size 30 mercerized cotton thread.
