ABOUT LACEBROOK STITCHERY
Creating fine crochet lace, handsewn Victorian inspired garments and other forms of knitting and needlework
CLASSES
I teach group and individual crochet classes.
BEGINNERS You will learn the fundamentals of how to crochet, including how to use your hook & yarn, read a pattern and control tension. We will create several fun and easy projects, eg a coaster, wheat bag, phone case, mug warmer, purse or oven mitt. Then move on to a hot water bottle cover, teacosy, scarf, beanie, shawl or come with your own idea!
EXPERIENCED Come with something in mind or for new ideas and inspiration. Learn new skills and stitch patterns and explore different crochet techniques. You are welcome to bring along an existing project that you are finding challenging for help with stitches, gauge, reading the pattern or any other problems you may be having.
All classes are $250 for 6 weeks. Classes held on Mondays & Fridays Includes: pattern, hook and yarn for small projects, tea/coffee & freshly baked cake. This is a friendly relaxed group where we share the joy of creating with a cup of tea/coffee and freshly baked homemade cake.
The group will be small with lots of individual support and guidance and the course is flexible to the individual’s skill level, interests and needs. The classes are held in a lovely Woodford home studio with easy parking and close to the station.
You are able to find more details of this in the events page.

ABOUT ME
I began making crochet thread lace many years ago and fell in love with its calm elegance and the beauty it gave to my home.
Over the years I have worked to learn all I can about crochet lace, its history, application and how to work it. I developed my understanding of how it used to be worked as well as its place in society and applied that knowledge within my own work today.
